Never having had root canals before, I can only compare the horror stories of others. Dr Young explains what she is going to do, and why. Her work is very well within acceptable pain parameters. When she finds pain, she administers drug and time to wait it out. If she runs into trouble she explains what it is and why. I had some pretty tough work to do, due to cancer, and she and her gang seem to be excellent at their craft. (Plus she has little hands!) There are movies. Is that normal? Headset's a little rough, but it seems like an extra perk.

Dr. Young is fantastic! During the height of Hurricane Milton, I experienced an excruciating toothache. My regular dentist had to evacuate. Fortunately, I was able to get in touch with Dr. Young. That weekend, she opened her office for a few hours so she and a dental assistant could do a root canal. Dr. Young is a competent, conscientious and knowledgeable dentist. Not only that, she is extremely kind during the procedures and to have opened her office (Sunday) on the heels of a hurricane. Scheduling the follow up was easy and Maggie at the front desk was patient and accommodating. Dr. Young and her team are true professionals. My care and comfort was excellent. I could not be more impressed or recommend this practice highly enough. You will be in good hands.

I have never met a more competent, knowledgeable dentist than Dr. Young. I needed root canal ( her specialty as an endodontist) to save a tooth and she did. But what I love most about Dr. Young is her experience, knowledge that she shares of what options are available with problem teeth ( and I have a few). Example: the tooth that was saved was the last upper but fragile as it's a cap. She advised me to have an implant next to the crowned tooth so that the pressure on the tooth that she just saved would not take all the beating when I chew. Who knew? I learned more from Dr. Young than any other dentists. Ever! Any complaints here I would take with a grain of salt or ignore completely. I don't believe them. Last, but not least, Maggie, the new receptionist is such a great addition to Dr. Young's office. Very helpful! Dr. Young, you found a winner!

The office staff are rude, the dental assistant rude the doctor herself is very nice however always seems rushed and does a rushed job. Had both my temp crowns fall out within hours of her putting them back on after a root canal. I have had numerous crowns never had this happen. She's also VERY stingy with the numbing medication. During root canal, I could feel everything she did but she had excuses. Charged upfront, I will say I am grateful for her being able to take me but even in that situation she got paid and I find it odd my dentist (best in Tampa) can put a temp crown on and never fall off or break but she does it and within hours it happens. I'll make sure to find another endo when I need help.

I could not be more impressed with Dr. Young and her team! The office is convenient and beautifully appointed. Receptionist and dental assistant were highly professional, pleasant, and mindful of COVID-19 protocol. My care was top-notch, Dr. Young is so compassionate and attentive, making sure I was as comfortable as possible during the root canal procedure. The "movies" glasses kept me calm and focused despite the procedure.
